CONQUERING CANCER ONE KILOMETRE AT A TIME

We’re pretty sure that by now, you’ve heard about Brickworks Cares . It’s a special site that showcases the many charitable initiatives we support. For our latest initiative, I’m really giving it all I’ve got. I’m putting myself on a pedestal. Literally.

On June 13th and 14th, I’ll be grabbing my road bike, clipping in, and riding over 200 km in the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer. My wife, Andrea, is joining me and together, we’re aiming to raise $5000 to benefit the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, one of the top five cancer research centres in the world.

Ride organizers told me that all I needed was motivation, a bike, and a helmet. Check, check, double-check. Little did they know … I also have a website dedicated to charitable causes and a large number of supporters who believe in making a difference.

Cancer affects every single one of us. It’s on our minds. It’s an ever looming threat to our survival. It touches us in the most heart-wrenching ways. I’ve lost friends to cancer. I have friends and family who are still fighting. With every kilometre I ride this June, I’ll be thinking about them.

I’m inching closer to my fundraising goal with every passing day. Every dollar takes us one step closer to conquering cancer. Will you help? It only takes one click.

Brickworks Cares. Thanks for showing how much you do too. http://to15.conquercancer.ca/site/TR/Events/Toronto2015?fr_id=1523&pg=pfind
